Music Tag Edit - Batch ID3 Editor App Reviews

4 Customer Reviews:

Unfortunately, this program / app is not (really) working on my system OS X Yosemite, MBP Retina mid 2014). No converting options (like 320 kbps 16bit [coming for 24bit ), no export options to choose from (like .wav, .aiff etc.) and so on, e.g. by using „save as“ there is no option what so ever to choose from (i.e. „save as“ what???). Buying this app not only was a waste of money but time too. Thus one star :(

Every time I click “save as” and choose a location is says “the operation can’t be completed because the items could not be found”. Clicking “export to itunes” and “cover source file” do absolutely nothing. Please tell me I didn’t just waste my money...

Nice application

I love Music Tag Pro - Batch ID3 Edit very much. But what about the possibility of editing the «Album Artist»?

When I tunes can’t match my cover art about 50 % of the time, this is my Go-to. I haven’t used the newest update to much. I like on the other one that I could just hit “apply to all” very quickly would it “apply to all” now it looks like theres a extra step and its not quite as “simple” as before. I say i tlike that cuz its still pretty darn easy and a great app. Specilly if your finicky about your iTunes libary having muliple album covers no matter how many times you delete and download the right ones. With this app it just takes seconds.

Unecessarily cumbersome.

Far too many clicks for what shouled be a simple change. Why do I need to completely resave the file as a new file, rather than update the old? That's an AWFUL decision, beause it creates another task I must do when done, delete the old files. I guess it's just too much to ask for a free app to be any good.

Works, hard to use

Too many clicks to get where I want, cumbersome to edit files, just a pain in general, nothing is intuitive.

album art

Been trying to add album artwork to music files since itunes went goofey on me. I am a dj/producer and wanted to add artwork to my personal production projects and dj sets. Unfortunately, itunes has found a way to make something so simple into a university course. This app was able to edit my files on the first try. So far I love it. I will provided additional reviews at a later date however, for now this is exactly what I needed and wanted.

Great Free App for general user

I just want to chage artist, album name, and cover. This app works great as I want. Better not pay for fancy app that I've never used all other functions...thanks

Is this a joke?

What kind of garbage is this. I go through the motions of starting it. It puts an icon in the dock showing it is running, but nothing else happens. No user interface opens. Not worth the electricity it took to download it. Pure garbage.

On Sierra, download app, open, fails immediately.

I’m running Mac OS Sierra 10.12.6. I download the app from the app store, open it, and it immediately fails. Tried re-downloading it, same result.

AMAZING FREE APP

I am constantly looking for newly released music, and when songs just come out, they usualy arent available on iTunes. Because they aren’t available for purchase, I end up having to download then from an online video converter. I even sometimes download entire albums that arent available on iTunes, so having this Tag Editor is SUPER convenient!! I’m always using it! and the fact that its FREE makes it even better! Some thing that I would like being able to do in future updates would be to show if some songs were explicit. Overall an AMAZING app! I recomend for anyone who downloads MP3’s from the internet and wants them to have album art.

A little clunky, but ok

The approach of working with duplicates and saving to new locations is a little cumbersome and not very intuitive. Also, I didn’t see an option to copy the file name to the title or vice versa, which would be useful. Can’t beat the price.

Fairly limited

Can only edit a few select ID3 tags, not all of them.

No Album Artist

Has no field for Album Artist, one I use frequently.

Super quick app!

I wanted to apply artwork to over a 100 tracks and I’ve done it in like 3 seconds with this app + 3 more seconds to export it to iTunes immediately :))) I am always thrilled to have something reliable and that does what it says it does. Great stuff - recommendations!
